Rabbi Jonathan Cahn's Visit to Samaria

Aaron Lipkin had the great pleasure of taking Pastor Jonathan Cahn on a tour in Samaria last week.

Their first stop is connected to Pastor Jonathan’s name! After leaving Jerusalem they arrived at a lookout of the Mikmas Pass which is located between the Biblical cities of Michmash and Geba. This pass is where Jonathan led a surprise attack on the Philistines and defeated them in that battle.
"On each side of the pass that Jonathan intended to cross to reach the Philistine outpost was a cliff; one was called Bozez and the other Seneh.5 One cliff stood to the north toward Mikmash, the other to the south toward Geba." (1 Samuel 14:4)

Aaron and Pastor Jonathan then continued to Bethel, the site of Jacob's dream of the ladder. Where they discussed the important prophetic significance of Jacob’s dream.

"When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, 'Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it'. He was afraid and said, 'How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven' Early the next morning Jacob took the stone he had placed under his head and set it up as a pillar and poured oil on top of it. He called that place Bethel,[e] though the city used to be called Luz." (Genesis 28:17-19)

The next stop on the Samaria tour was Ancient Shiloh where the tabernacle stood for almost 400 years and where the Forgotten Feast of love was celebrated
"But look, there is the annual festival of the Lord in Shiloh, which lies north of Bethel, east of the road that goes from Bethel to Shechem, and south of Lebonah.” (Judges 21:19)

Unfortunately, Aaron and Pastor Jonathan were not able to visit Joshua's Alter on Mt. Ebal (Mt. of Curses) but they did get to see it from the nearby settlement of Elon Moreh using Aaron's drone and a pair of VR goggles.
Then Joshua built on Mount Ebal an altar to the Lord, the God of Israel" (Joshua 8:30)"

Mt. Gerizim (Mt. of Blessings) is the logical next stop after Mt. Ebal and that is where Aaron and Pastor Jonathan went. From Joseph's lookout on Mt. Gerizim the two were able to get a clear view of Shekhem and Joseph's Tomb, as well asthe mountains and valleys surrounding the area.
"And Joseph’s bones, which the Israelites had brought up from Egypt, were buried at Shechem in the tract of land that Jacob bought for a hundred pieces of silver[a] from the sons of Hamor, the father of Shechem. This became the inheritance of Joseph’s descendants." (Joshua 24:32)

The Samaritan Village is located on Mt. Gerizim and that was the next stop of Aaron and Jonathan's tour. Pastor Jonathan was extremely curious about the use of ancient Hebrew letters and the sacrificial customs of the Samaritans
The last stop of the day was at the Hayovel base camp on Har Bracha. Where preparations are underway to host 500 people at a festive celebration. www.hayovel.com

Rabbi Cahn wrote us the following message a day after the tour:

Shalom Aaron,
I know you won’t see this until the Shabbat is over – But I wanted to right it now so you’ll see it later
I wanted to say THANK YOU!
Yesterday was a wonderful journey.
To see the sites was amazing
Your sharing was fascinating
The drone experience was a total surprise.
And as wonderful as the sites were, the company was just as wonderful.
For the first time I entered the land of Samaria, I was blessed to have you be the one to lead me there.
You have a beautiful heart for the Lord.
Thank you for what you did to make it so meaning, special, and unforgettable
Thank you

Jonathan
